The Antioxidant capacity and scavenging potential of Karnozin Extra (neutralization of lipid peroxidation)

Lipid peroxidation is the oxidative degradation of lipids. It is the process in which free radicals “steal” electrons from the lipids in cell membranes, resulting in cell damage. Lipid peroxidation is implicated in the underlying mechanisms of several disorders and diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, autism and aging.
Karnozin Extra was able to prevent harmful effect of lipid peroxidation in 58,9%, comparing tu pure L-Carnosine substance (5,2%) and L-carnosine from other food supplements (8,7%)
